Branding




Neptura is a premium aquaculture brand specialising in exceptional turbot and sole, raised on the Galician coast and supplied to high-end gastronomic markets. Rooted in values of care, proximity to the sea, ethical production and craftsmanship, the brand positions itself as a refined seafood label with decades of expertise.

LLYC was commissioned to rebuild Neptura’s entire visual universe—identity, strategic positioning and brand system—to elevate the product into a premium category while remaining anchored in Galicia’s marine culture. The objective was to create a brand with clarity, modernity and narrative depth, visually expressing a central idea: care defines taste.
As Art Director of the project, I led the full creative development of the new identity. This included the conceptualisation and design of the brand universe, and the creation of the complete Brand Identity Manual, ensuring coherence across all applications.

Requirements


The branding required:

• A distinctive, timeless logotype
• A visual system balancing heritage with contemporary refinement
• An editorial language able to convey rigour, freshness and ethical values
• A packaging and digital system adapted to both consumer and B2B environments
• A photographic direction capable of expressing tactility, craft and ocean depth

Concept Development


• Defined the brand’s narrative foundation: authenticity shaped by the sea and elevated through a contemporary aesthetic
• Developed the conceptual territory behind “Care Makes Taste”, establishing the emotional and visual tone of the brand

Art Direction & Visual System


• Directed the overall look & feel, merging warm whites, deep navy and bright aqua
• Designed the photographic language: tactility, manual processes and Atlantic atmosphere
• Created the typographic guidelines integrating Safiro and Instrument Serif to balance refinement and clarity

Identity Design


• Refined the logotype through proportional adjustments, optical corrections and a dedicated grid system
• Designed all core assets and brand applications

Brandbook & Implementation


• Built the complete Brand Identity Manual, covering structure, language, grids and specifications
• Documented imagery treatments, chromatic mask system, typographic rules and art-direction guidelines
• Ensured consistency and scalability across all touchpoints

La Turboterie — Pop-Up Experience


To launch the new identity, we designed La Turboterie, a sensorial pop-up that translated Neptura’s values into a multisensory environment aligned with Care Makes Taste.
This activation became the first physical manifestation of the renewed identity, demonstrating how the brand behaves in an emotional, gastronomic and experiential space.

Result


A cohesive, sophisticated identity that elevates Neptura’s seafood offering while honouring its origin.
The brand balances precision, emotional depth and narrative clarity, enabling Neptura to communicate with greater distinction across global gastronomic and retail environments.
